To become a successful engineer, the students need to practice sev- eral skills like, communication, listening, technical writing, creativity and imagination. They need to know the importance of working as a group and the means of effectively managing a group. They further need to practice morals and ethics to become an effective leader in their career. This text book on "life skills" intends to serve the above mentioned purposes. This book contains introductory explanations of all topics as per the new syllabus of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technologi- cal University, Kerala. The presentations are uniformly economical and cogent. Relevant and meaningful illustrations are also given.
